What about English and History?

Many people unfamiliar with the Academy are often led to believe that every class that students take is somehow related to the fields of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. This is simply not true.

Academy students are required to take four years of English, three years of History, four years of Physical Education, and at least two years of Spanish, in addition to their four years of Science, four years of Math, and four years of Engineering.

While a large portion of an Academy student’s typical day is devoted to technological studies, it is by no means the only thing that they do. In addition to their required courses, the Academy also offers several non-technical electives, including creative writing, public speaking, and American Government courses, among others.
