Ask a Student

Want to talk to an Academy student? Have a question not answered on the Questions Page? We’re here to help.

There are several Academy students and alumni happy to answer any question that you may have. Before you email us, however, please make sure we haven’t already answered it.

To help us assist you, please include as much relevant information as possible in your email. For example:

  • What’s your name?
  • What grade are you in?
  • What town are you from?
  • Which engineering major interests you most?
  • Why do you want to go to the Academy?
  • Is there a specific student (or type of student) that you want to contact?

Don’t bother answering all of those questions if they don’t pertain to your question (we’re pretty laid back). However, if you’re trying to find out more information about the bussing from your town, it would be helpful for you to include your town name. If you’re looking to talk to the author of a specific Student Perspective, please include their name. Or, if you simply want to talk to a student in more detail about whether the Academy is right for you, please include a short description about what makes the Academy appeal to you.

Although we will try to respond as quickly as possible (typically within a few hours), if your question is complex or obscure, it may take us longer. If we do not respond to your email within 48 hours, feel free to email us again.

Once you’ve read all of the above, feel free to send an email to: ask@whyacademy.org
